Rickman Castle's Tower

"Courage and perseverance have a magical talisman, before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into air." - John Quincy Adams

The first floor walls were filled with concrete and rebar. Then the wall construction began on the second level of the tower.

The wall studs are now inside the second level, and the roof is ready to be added on the tower.

Tim built and placed this beautiful door for the tower balcony. He laid the sub flooring for the roofing.

The roof has been added, and rubber roll roofing.

A door hatch is in place with a temporary ladder attached for access to the top. A spiral stair case will be inside once the tower is completed.

The rafters are placed for the lean-to roof that connects the tower wall to the house roof.

Above and Below Photos - Decking and Roll-Roofing. The roll-roofing is temporary,
until we can have a new tin roof place on the full house.

Cypress Siding is placed on the side of the lean-to roof. We are filling the block cores with rebar and concrete. Concrete cap stones and spires are being poured.

Cap stones and spires have been added completely around the tower.

Decorated ironwork pieces have been placed on the tower's banister.

A night photo

The outside of the Tower is now done. We will add more statues to the cap stones and spires as we did on the Entry.
